I want to start of this post with a sincere thank you to all those mamas who take the time to create and share wonderful, helpful engaging content regularly with one (let alone more than one) little munchkin in their life. You are a rock star. But let's be completely honest, anyone who raises a child, let alone children, is a rock star.
While pregnant and searching endlessly for blogs from first-time mamas, I struggled to find authentic content from women sharing their lives while raising their first little one. Let me save you the trouble of running your own searches, there are not many. And while I could empathize and draw my own conclusions as to why, this last month has really shown me exactly why that particular demographic does not write. There is just so much! But part of learning how to be a good mama is learning how to take time for yourself. You can't give another water if your cup is empty, and writing helps me to fill mine.
I have had no creative energy lately to devote to my own writing. Between lesson plans, research assignments, and trying to give as much attention as possible to my family, there was just no energy to send elsewhere. But I really do love writing and missed it dearly. So after a little over a month off and some soul-searching, here I am, doing what I love.
What's new in our little family?
Thank you for your love, support, and patience as I muddle my way through the steep, steep learning curve that is motherhood!
