While I may have had good intentions for this first year of marriage blog, it's definitely set on the back burner as law school has picked up and life has gone on. And now, out of nowhere we've been married for six months. And in six months, we've gone from a young married couple in a tiny apartment to a cozy house and expecting a baby in June.
So, with finals approaching and our big news out in the open, I think it's time to share about our last six months. Firstly, they've been pretty wonderful. We found this great little house with a yard, moved and settled in just in time for a positive pregnancy test a whirlwind week or two processing that we would be parents by June. Wow!
Secondly, we are learning how to live together. Roommates and spouses are two very different things, let me tell you. And that has been a steep learning curve. The division of labor in our home is not always even, but we are learning how to support and acknowledge what the other has done for us.
Finally, the husband-wife relationship is somehow the most natural and yet completely different relationship we've ever been in. Each month holds new adventures and discoveries for the two of us. From traveling to Colorado in a few short weeks to visiting Josh at work, there's always something to look forward.
As life goes on and things change, I am mostly thankful that I get to experience all of this with my best friend at my side.
